Ghost River Brewing (827 S Main St & 341 Beale St) Founded in 2007, Ghost River Brewing crafts beer using water from the Memphis Sands Aquifer. Both South Main and Beale Street taprooms feature beautiful outdoor beer gardens with music stages plus kitchens for food. Signature brews include the Ghost River Golden Ale and Grindhouse Cream Ale. For friends who aren't hopped for beer, they have serve liquor and wine too.
Grind City Brewing (76 Waterworks Ave.) Located in Uptown with views of the river, Grind City Brewing offers a spacious deck and outdoor space, food trucks, and murals. This is the spot for people who like to enjoy their beers outdoors. Enjoy their Poppy's Pilsner, Godhopper Hazy IPA, or Memphis-style hard seltzers. In Spring 2025, they'll debut a new amphitheater to host concerts.
Flyway Brewing Company (598 Monroe Ave) Now operated by Little Rock’s Flyway Brewing, this expanded taproom serves High Cotton classics like Mexican Lager and Scottish Ale alongside Flyway favorites like Bluewing and Free Range. Flyways also has a full service kitchen with favorites like wings, gumbo cheese fries, and fried duck tenders. They also have a pretzel tree with the option of four different flavors.
Memphis Filling Station (206 E GE Patterson Ave)
The newest taproom on the downtown scene, Memphis Filling Station (aka MFS Brewing) opened in 2024 with an open-concept space where the brewery and bar blend together so you can sip while you watch the brewing action. They’re known for constantly rotating small batches of creative beers alongside fun events like Music Bingo and Karaoke, plus free flavored popcorn for guests. Their calzones are a must-try. Signature pours are ever-changing, and the taproom brings a lively, community-driven vibe to the heart of downtown.
Memphis Made Brewing Co. (16 S. Lauderdale St.) Now located in The Ravine (that's the cool photo at the top of this page), Memphis Made’s new space features a taproom open Wednesdays through Sundays. Their Fireside Red Ale is one of the most guzzled beers in the city. They keep the ravine busy with events plus inside at their taproom like trivia nights and dancing.
Soul & Spirits Brewery (845 N. Main St.) Opened in late 2021, this Uptown brewery blends Memphis music culture with a German beer hall vibe. This brewery honors Memphis' music legacies with beers like “Green Onions” single hop ale, “Smoke Stack” dark lager, or “Hound Dog” hefeweizen while enjoying a rotating lineup of food trucks. This year, they'll begin work on a new outdoor space.
Wiseacre Brewing Co. (398 S. B.B. King Blvd.) Wiseacre’s downtown taproom is a large-scale brewing facility offering Saturday tours and home to pizza spot Little Bettie–featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! Try their award-winning brews like Sky Dog Premium Lager, Tiny Bomb Pilsner or Ananda IPA, along with a rotating selection of seasonal brews. They have ample indoor and outdoor seating.

Boscos Restaurant & Brewing Company (2120 Madison Ave) Located in Overton Square, Boscos pairs a full restaurant menu with house-brewed beer. Boscos was the first brewpub to open in Tennessee. Try the Flaming Stone, a Great American Beer Festival silver medalist, or the Bombay IPA, a multi-time Real Ale Festival winner. Brick-oven pizzas, cedar plank salmon, and seasonal brews make it easy to mix and match — and you can sample several with a beer flight.
Cooper House Project (906 S. Cooper St.) This Cooper-Young brewery takes a small-batch approach, skipping flagships in favor of constantly rotating brews. The taproom, renovated from a former house, feels warm and homey, with a menu that ranges from traditional lagers and ales to sours and experimental styles. It’s a great place to try something new every time you visit. During the mornings, this spot also operates as a coffee house.
Crosstown Brewing Company (1264 Concourse Ave) Sitting just outside Crosstown Concourse, Crosstown Brewing offers a bright, welcoming taproom with both indoor and outdoor seating. Signature pours include the Traffic IPA and Siren Blonde Ale, alongside creative rotating options like fruit wheats and tart goses. Crosstown is great for live music like their bluegrass jams and offers a full menu with smash burgers, pizzas, and wings.
Hampline Brewing (584 Tillman St., Suite 1) Hampline Brewing brings you in with its cozy neighborhood vibe playful vibes but will keep you there with their inventive brews and some of the best IPAs in the city like its staple Handlebar Haze, a juicy NEIPA. The taproom often hosts trivia nights plus live music and comedy nights on their outdoor stage. The Orsoza! wood fired pizzas are some of the best.
Wiseacre Brewing Company OG (2783 Broad Ave.) The original Wiseacre taproom on Broad Avenue has a laid-back, community vibe with indoor seating, a patio, and frequent live music. With Panuzzo King sandwiches now on-site, it’s easy to pair a fresh, creative panuzzo with one of their rotating drafts. This a favorite spot for locals to hang, eat, and sip.

Meddlesome Brewing Company (7750 B Trinity Rd., Suite 114 – Cordova) Just past Shelby Farms Park, Meddlesome Brewing lives up to its "never settle, always meddle" slogan. Flagship beers include their 201 Hoplar IPA and Burn the Witch dark lager. This is a great brewery for those who like darker beers. They also offer seltzers, craft cocktails and a full menu of food.
Maroon Brew Co. (642 W Poplar Ave, Collierville) A proudly woman-owned, family-friendly brewpub in the heart of Collierville, Maroon Brew Co. pours a rotating lineup of small-batch craft beers brewed on-site by owner and head brewer Maggie Emerson. The taproom’s community-focused vibe pairs perfectly with gourmet hot dogs, smash burgers, chicken, and shareable plates, making it a great stop for lunch, dinner, or weekend hangouts. With fresh beers on tap, often named for local Collierville landmarks, and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, Maroon Brew brings hometown pride to every pint

Memphis Brewfest - In the summer, breweries and craft beer enthusiast join forces at Shelby Farms Park. Beer tasting is included with your ticket price and the organizers typically limit the number of attendees so everyone gets a taste.
Cooper-Young Beerfest - Every fall, 30-35 local and regional breweries come together for a beer festival in Midtown Memphis. The event planners really focus on making sure you’re not standing in line all day, so they typically cap the number of tickets that are sold.
Taste the Rarity - This invitational beer festival put on by Wiseacre Brewery in April features a line up of over 30 breweries from around the country and includes a speciality release from Wiseacre. Enjoy live music, backyard games and food trucks.
Oktoberfests - Nearly all, if not ALL, local breweries host their own Oktoberfest celebrations kicking off with Soul & Spirits who coincides their celebration with the official Oktoberfest opening in Munich. Check out this local guide.
