Fireworks on the Riverfront

The Downtown Memphis Commission is thrilled to bring the fireworks back to the riverfront with Independence Day on the River, a family-friendly Fourth of July celebration happening on Friday, July 4, 2025, from 6:00 to 9:00 PM.

After several years away from the water, Memphis’ beloved riverfront fireworks show is back. This free event spans three scenic locations: River Garden, Fourth Bluff Park, and a portion of Riverside Drive—all activated with live entertainment, food trucks, games, vendors, and festive activities for all ages.

The night will conclude with a fireworks spectacular at 9:00 PM, launching over the river and visible from across Downtown. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy a dazzling display over the Mississippi River.

Admission is free, but attendees are encouraged to RSVP  to receive event information and updates.
