The 14th Annual Get Down & Derby Gala, sponsored by the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis & the Mid-South, will be held Saturday, May 3rd , 2025, in conjunction with the celebration of the 151st Kentucky Derby which will be live streamed at the event. The gala is a fundraiser for the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis and is open to the public. Doors open at 4pm. Derby attire welcome! There will be dancing & entertainment, featuring the Rob Haynes Band, back by popular demand, silent & live auctions, a wine pull, bourbon pull, and the famous fancy hat parade. Cocktails & Hors d’oeuvres will be served. Tickets or tables may be purchased online or at the event, and are available at a discounted price through April 1st. Sponsorships are also available.
All proceeds go to the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis & the Midsouth, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to support and empower those with Down syndrome. It offers programs and assistance to individuals with Down syndrome and their families, as well as to educators and the medical community within the tri-state area.
